The 2012 Volunteer Project Hall of Fame Awards, sponsored by the Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County and the Coordinators of Volunteers of Anne Arundel County, will honor volunteer projects that have had the most impact in Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis.

Each year hundreds of volunteers participate in projects that help our community. Many awards are given to recognize groups and individuals for their hard work. However, most of us are unfamiliar with the background and impact of the projects themselves.

Nominations are invited for volunteer projects sponsored by local nonprofit or faith-based organizations, local businesses, governmental agencies and other groups.

Volunteer Project Nomination forms are now available. Nominations must be completed and received by the Volunteer Center no later than 5 p.m., October 12, 2012.

Award winners will be announced at the Induction Luncheon Celebration, to be held at Yellowfin Steak & Fish House in Edgewater, on Thursday, November 8, 2012, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
